Hmm, how long since the last update... three weeks? Oh well...
So, where to begin? Well, the question that some of you may be asking (or maybe not; wouldn't blame you for not noticing changes in my gallery considering how rarely I update lately) is what happened to the pictures of my Phoebe cosplay? The answer is: they're in storage. At this point I figure anyone I wanted to see the costume has seen it, and I don't really want to leave the pictures dangling as bait for the complainers and bigots of the internet. I've struggled with whether to leave them up or not (honestly, I see nothing wrong with male-to-female cosplay, and it's a darn good costume), but, the internet is what it is... I'm just glad that I got to share my latest cosplay with my friends

That said, I still enjoy wearing the costume, but you probably won't see more pictures (except maybe a headshot if I FINALLY get those flowers done). I've considered keeping it up just on principle, to show that men have a right to wear whatever they want as much as women do (there's even a masculinist rights movement similar to the feminist one but focused on broadening the rights of men to unorthodox pursuits), but I'm just not that guy...
*cough*
Well, anyway, on to other news... as you may have surmised from the title, I just finished reading Star Wars: Darth Plagueis, and overall it was pretty good (though definitely for serious Star Wars fans ONLY). The book did a great job of filling in the gaps of the dark side plans in the prequel trilogy: the origins of Darth Plagueis, Sidious/Palpatine, Maul, Dooku, Sifo Diyas and the clone army, and the conflict with the Trade Federation are all explained. The book also makes a lot of references to other material: from The Clone Wars, the Bounty Hunter videogame, Jango Fett: Open Seasons, Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, etc, which was cool but also why I classify this book as for fans only. Also the origin of Anakin is finally explained: Plagueis did create him... sort of. Wish I could say more, but to avoid spoilers, let's just say Anakin's very birth "brings balance to the Force", fulfilling the Chosen One prophecy (unlike that trilogy of episodes in The Clone Wars Season 3 that were supposed about the Chosen One but just ended up being a confusing series of events that were ultimately erased from Anakin's memory...).
Oh, and Marvel Legos come out next month, including one with Magneto! Woot!
